At the end of 2014 we completed installation of approximately 7.5 km of sound walls for the Port Mann/Highway 1 Expansion Project, with walls installed where residential areas were adjacent to the freeway. Sites started at the Boundary Road/Grandview Highway intersection in Burnaby, through Coquitlam and ended just east of the 176 St. interchange in Surrey. Installation took place in a number of very challenging locations and the flexibility of the Natural Art system was clearly demonstrated.
Canus/Natural Art concrete sound walls are published on the the BC Ministry of Transportation and Highways’ Recommended Product List as approved reflective sound abatement material. This approval was supported by extensive independent laboratory testing, and has a 50 year working life as certified by an independent structural engineer.
Natural Art products were in full conformance the extremely high Quality Control standards required by major international contractors such as Bilfinger Berger and Kiewit Flatiron.
